Amid these denunciations, President Maduro reaffirmed his urgent proposal for a Global Summit for Peace and Against War, aimed at confronting escalating international conflicts and the looming threat of nuclear war.
Addressing world leaders and major powers, President Maduro emphasized the need for dialogue, respect for international law, and multilateral cooperation to restore global stability.
This summit, which Venezuela is actively promoting with the support of regional and global actors including China and Russia, seeks to foster disarmament initiatives such as the creation of a nuclear-free zone in West Asia and demands immediate action from the UN Security Council to dismantle Israel’s secret nuclear arsenal, which President Maduro identified as a grave threat to regional and world peace.
The president condemned the massacre of the Palestinian people as a massacre against all humanity, framing it as a clear sign of imperialist domination attempts. He called for a just resolution to the Palestinian conflict based on UN resolutions, including the recognition of East Jerusalem as the capital of a sovereign Palestinian state and the right of refugees to return.
The Venezuelan president also expressed gratitude to the Catholic Church for its support in demanding the liberation of kidnapped children and migrants in the United States and El Salvador. He highlighted the alarming case of 31 children abducted in the US and the 252 forcibly disappeared Venezuelan workers in El Salvador, describing these acts as unprecedented violations of human rights.
